The last July, GROUP ELEKTROSOL made a grid connection of an important solar photovoltaic installation located over industrial buildings covers, with 500 kW nominal power, wich is located in the industrial area Poligono Mas del Bou, in Albatera, Alicante.
The solar installation has 2.226 solar panels, which are located over a industrial buildings surface of aproximately 7.000 m2. It´s expected that solar plant, which has 461 kW of peak power, will produce 645.485kWh/year of electric energy.
The solar installation shall avoid the emison of aproximately 260 CO2 tons every year, if we compare the electric energy produced by solar energy with electric energy produced by natural gas, and will avoid the emision of 645 CO2 tons if we compare with electric generation from coal.
Installation work in the solar plant began in December 2009 and has suposed an aproximately investment of one million two hundred thousand €.
